I've had so many wonderful family walks along the Coffin Route that runs from Ambleside to Grasmere. This was inspired after one of those walks on an autumnal day. The sun was setting which lit up the leaves and made them look golden. The grass in the foreground and the leaves on the trees have been painted using metallic paints so they glisten in the light.

This original painting measures 30x20x1.5". The sides of the canvas are painted and there are D rings and string on the back so it's ready to hang on the wall. A coat of varnish is applied for protection.
